For generations

we produce the best cow’s milk

1940

Forefathers

Symbiosis between man and animal, and this for many years. The feeling, the knowledge, the passion — it is in our genes. It was true then and still is today. For generations we have been working with cows from a young age.

1980

South Holland

Dairy farmer in Moerkapelle since 1980. Our company has been rooted here for generations. This photo shows our love for the cows. Cow Josi at the cattle show in Gouda, 1987.

1988

Farm in Kantens

In 1988 our company moves to Kantens in the province of Groningen. The space and the opportunities to further develop the business were the main reasons. We also deliberately chose a region with both dairy and arable farms. We have always consciously focused on cooperation with arable farmers.

1995

Pushing boundaries

Since the late 1990s we have been broadening our orientation on international dairy farming — by joining the European Dairy Farmers and Global Dairy Farmers organisations, and as owner of DairyNext.

2000

Comfort stables

In 2000 we built new farm buildings, with a strong focus on the barn climate and cow comfort. We use modern techniques that promote the health and wellbeing of our herd and align with contemporary views on animal welfare.

2016

Sustainability

In 2016 we added a free-stall barn with two automatic milking systems. We chose a Maatlat-certified sustainable stable so we could further optimise cow comfort and invest even more in sustainability.

The barn is also situated so that we can graze our cows outdoors again. This way everyone can see our cows and we meet a societal expectation.

For generations

Milk is a fantastic product. From it, wonderful and healthy dairy products can be made. Dairy fits within a healthy diet. That was true in the past, it holds today, and it will remain so in the future.
